About Sean A. Connelly, D.O.

 

Dr. Connelly is from North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania and joined Valley Gastroenterology Associates in 2008.  He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Allegheny College graduating with cum laude honors, and then achieved his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Connelly went on to complete his Traditional Rotating Internship at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh. Both Dr. Connelly’s Internal Medicine Residency and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology were completed at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to his GI Fellowship he also completed a Fellowship in Advanced Hepatology and Liver Transplant at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Acute and chronic liver disease, pancreaticobiliary disease, and therapeutic endoscopy including ERCP are Dr. Connelly’s primary interests. He has received training in and performs CRH O’Regan Hemorrhoidal Banding.  Board certified in Gastroenterology, he also maintains certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Dr. Connelly is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, American Osteopathic Association and Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.
